WELCOME TO MELJONS FARMS
Dirt and Dirtless Farming
We are a hydroponic and traditional grown produce stand, set within the foothills of the Catskills Mountains.
ABOUT US
Who We Are
Here at Meljons Farms we strive to provide fresh, nutritious, healthy food to our surrounding communities. Over 30 years ago we started selling corn off of a picnic table. We have since progressed into what is now known as Meljons Farms. We are a seasonal farmstand that operates from June to November. We specialize in fruits, vegetables, herbs and beef cuts, but offer customers so much more. At Meljons Farms we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We’d love for you to take part in the Meljons Farms experience. For more information, get in touch!

TRADITIONAL GROWING
Our top traditionally grown produce is our sweet corn, grown on approximately 7 acres. In addition we have blueberries, tomatoes, beets, pumpkins, gourds, summer and winter squash.

FARMSTAND
Sitting just off of Rt 41, within the setting of our family’s beef farm (Dew Dec Farms) is our family run farmstand. All the produce we grow is sold here, along with our own beef cuts. We also subsidize with other local products, including ice cream, cheese, maple syrup, honey, mustard and more.
BEEF FARM
Our farm has been around for generations. Originally a dairy farm which moved to beef in 2006. The meat you see in our freezers comes from the cows you see roaming in the pastures alongside the farmstand. They are homegrown, hormone and antibiotic free and grass fed. The animals are raised with great care and compassion. Most even have names! They are shipped to a close USDA butcher in singular/ small batches so that there is less stress on the animal. Our goal is to sell you the kind of food that we want to eat. Food that is good for you, full of nutrients ( not chemicals) and tastes great!

HYDROPONICS
Our hydroponic system measures approximately 2000 sq. ft. The plants are grown in a tower system. What we grow in our system would be equivalent to around 1 acre of traditionally grown produce. Our hydroponics also use 85-90% less water. Some of the produce we grow are tomatoes, peppers, greens, radishes, beans and cucumbers.
